Grote Automotive is the most crooked dealership I’ve ever had to deal with! I took my grandmother there to look for a car about a month agoWe dealt with a salesman named Ryan, he is the most rude liar I’ve ever met! My grandma ended up finding a car but needed a co-signer, so my husband said that he would co-sign for herShe also traded in her old car towards the new car she wantedWe were there all day, both my husband and grandma signed all the paperwork, they handed her the keys and told her she was all set to drive awayThey came and picked up her trade in a few days laterShe drove the car for over weeks, had the insurance put on it and everythingAfter she thought everything was good to go she got a call and my husband got a text saying they need my husband and her to come in a resign some paperwork that they missed and that they found a cheaper bank to go throughShe was told they would reimburse her some gas for having to drive back up thereWhen they both arrived they were then told that my husband no longer qualified to be a co-signer and that she needed to find someone else to sign (after she had the car for about a month and had everything transferred over)Then Ryam the salesman they dealt with asked my husband if he knew my SS # and that he could just run mine and see if mine would qualify, without my consent and without me even being there! My husband told him that he would have to consult me firstWhen my husband called, Ryan got on the phone and when I told him I wouldn’t be able to co-sign he got really loud and rude with meAfter I wouldn’t co-sign they ended up taking the car back from my grandma! Her and my husband were stranded up there with no vehicle to get home with, they couldn’t give her the vehicle she traded in back because it was at an Auction Lot that was closedI ended up having to leave work and had to drive from Ohio to Fort Wayne to pick them up! She wasn’t reimbursed for the gas they promised to give her, nor was she reimbursed for the full tank of gas in her new car that they took backNow she has to wait without a vehicle until they return her trade inThis place is a crooked jokeI don’t see how you can sell someone a vehicle, take their trade in, tell them they are good to go, have all the information changed over, insurance on the vehicle, then tell them a lie to trick them into coming back to the dealership, and then take there car back after almost a month?!

My husband and I stayed for one night after the tornados hit KokomoWhile checking in, I witnessed the manager completely humiliate the desk clerk by constantly barraging her with rude comments for no apparent reasonWhen we got ti our room, there were dirty towels on bathroom floor not to mention no clean onesNo toilet paperBlack mold was visible on ceilingRoom looked like it wasn’t cleanedAnd ants! Ants was just crawling everywhere! When I went down to complain his response was that they were not prepared for all the customers coming in that were affected by tornadoUhhh, excuse me…but your hotel should ALWAYS be prepared! And clean!!! And staff should be friendly, not rude and on the offensive!

I called *** *** and spoke with him on the incident that he complained about. I explained to him that we just took over the hotel and terminated several employee’s so I wasn’t sure who would have had access to his
credit card prior to his stay. He made his reservation month’s prior so it could have been compromised by the previous ownership group or employee’s After I spoke with ***, I drove to the *** *** that the card number was used at, and the manager gave me more information on the person in question. The witness at *** *** gave us a description of the person in question and the car they were driving. We discovered it was one of the employee’s we terminated the week we took over the hotel. I have been cooperating with Mr*** to help him bring resolution to this incident. His card was compromised prior to the date of us taking over the hotel. The day we took over the hotel, we secured all credit card information. We also changed our phone number on the day of takeover to 765-864-0227. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns

I have visited Kokomo various times and I stayed at a number of hotels in the area because I was thinking about making a move hereNow that I had the chance to stay at the garden inn I may be changing my mindThe management as well as the house keeping is extremely rudeThe manger answers the phone and says what no introduction to their establishment or nameShe also yelled at me trying to kick me out after my boyfriend and I payed for an extended stay to someone that worked the previous nightyes simple mistake but she treated me as though I was lying it took the guy that my boyfriend helps snow plow to come and tell her not the emplpyee who took our moneyOn top of that they have no hot water they don’t dust or have clean towels

False advertising. Dirty room, bathroom not working, bed clothes dirty, staff unprofessional and rude.

I WENT TO GROTE AUTO SALES I GAVE THE SALESMAN MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AND 2 DAYS LATER GOT A CALL FROM A THIRD PARTY ABOUT A CAR HE SAID HE COULD FIND ME A CAR ,I ASKED HIM HOW HE GOT MY CELL PHONE NUMBER AND NAME ,HE SAID HE BUYS NUMBERS FROM DEALERS SO I WENT TO GROTE’S AND THEY SAID THEY DONT SELL NUMBERS BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY PLACE I GAVE MY INFORMATION .
